remember when the tumblr ceo stalked a random trans woman offsite and posted about her on his blog and nothing of consequence for him ever happened of that. and tumblr admitting that they were banning trans women unfairly and then they kept doing that. like transfems you follow will suddenly disappear one day and sometimes the ones with bigger followings will reappear and get spread but you still will have mutuals who you just haven’t seen for years because they were deleted without warning. and like shit just continues as if that didn’t happen and it isn’t still happening

idk how many people remember in 2023 when I randomly got this blog deleted but it was completely devastating for me, and I am extremely lucky in that I got it reinstated after I @’d tumblr support about the issue on twitter. I can’t imagine that I would have been that lucky if I had been a trans woman in that same situation, which makes me furious at the injustice of it all. like these accounts aren’t just stupid internet things, they’re logs of your relationships and interests that often cover over a decade of someone’s life, it is extremely upsetting to one day see that those accounts are gone with no reason or explanation

don’t forget how they admitted they had rogue TERFs on the mod team that were banning trans women for monetary gain. like you could pay the mods for a hit on some random poor tranny and they’d ban her without a second thought without her breaking any rules.

“We did have an external contract moderator last year that was making transphobic moderation (and also selling moderation, criminally),” Mullenweg wrote on his blog. “As soon as we were aware that person was fired, and we later terminated the entire relationship with that contracting firm and have brought almost everything in-house (at great cost).”ALT

and they admitted it. it wasn’t just some baseless conspiracy theory.
