menre was genuinely such a cool concept i coined, i’m kinda sad i didn’t do more with it

like yeah it’s extremely hard to explain what it means but a lot of my terms are like that. it’s my whimsical nature

a while back i desperately tried to reinvent the menre so i get the hard to explain thing. i was talking to someone and was like “yea im genderfluid but i only experience genders on the gender plane” and they were like “what”. and it turns out i had assumed that everyone was experiencing menres except me and i could Not get the point across

i might go back to talking about it. i don’t know for sure if i experience menre identity myself, but it would be useful considering how many stories i have that deal with nonhuman characters and identity

this includes maybe making a secondary name. i’m thinking of having “genus” be the starting point, since it is one of the very old words in latin that eventually evolved into genre and then gender, but before it was associated with gender itself. so “gender” and the new term would both have a similar root in a word that means “kind,” but they branch into two separate terms and concepts, which i think makes sense for what menre is trying to get across :3
