About Us

Hi, we go by Lethe. We're 22 years old, alterhuman, and a DID system. We've been in the community before, but this page (and our subsequent social media pages) are new, as we wanted a somewhat fresh start. So, here we are!

Collectively, we like to be referred to as the same pronouns as whoever is talking to or about us. So, if you use "she/her," you would use those for us, and if you used "they/them," you would use those, and so on. If it's more complicated than that, just go with what works. Not a big deal. We generally use the term "bigender," namely because that's what our host is, but it's more like a big soup of many things, being a system and all.

The alterhuman community is very dear to us, especially in regards to its history and having outreach for many groups of people. We're also very interested in the variety of symbols created over the years, the origins of them, and the ways they can be used. Besides the term "alterhuman," no term can fully apply to our entire system; many of us are otherkin in some fashion, many are otherhearted, fictionkin, constelic, and a myriad of other things.

We- as in, mainly the host- decided to make this Neocities page partly as a step back into the community, partly as a way to introduce ourselves, and partly as a record for things we've created in the past, so they can have a permanent archive if anyone needs to find something. We're also going to be putting up whatever resources we may find and be interested in, as well as sometimes muse about on the "blog" page for alterhuman things that might be a little too long for Tumblr or Bluesky. 

We're very private overall, so anything not shared explicitly about us is generally not something we're going to share unless we want to. It's not personal, we're just overly paranoid about vague, nebulous "somethings" all the time!
